The popular shonen anime “Blue Exorcist” is getting a new TV anime series. The news was announced at Jump Festa, a Japanese anime and manga convention, where a new key visual was also revealed.
The new series will be produced by studio A-1 Pictures, which also produced the previous two Blue Exorcist anime series. It will be directed by Yukio Takahashi, who also directed the previous two series.
The new series will air in Japan in 2021. There is no word yet on when or if it will air outside of Japan.
“Blue Exorcist” is a popular manga series written and illustrated by Kazue Kato. The story follows Rin Okumura, a boy who discovers that he is the son of Satan. He enrolls in the True Cross Academy to become an exorcist so that he can defeat his father.
The original “Blue Exorcist” TV anime series aired in 2011 and consisted of 25 episodes. The new series will be a sequel to the first series and will air in Japan in 2018. No other details about the new series have been announced yet, but we will update you as soon as more information is available.

RIN OKUMURA
Rin Okumura is the main character of Blue Exorcist. He is the son of Satan and a human woman, making him a half-demon. Rin was raised by Father Fujimoto, an exorcist, and grew up believing that he was human. However, when Father Fujimoto was killed by a demon, Rin's demon side began to emerge. Rin then sets out to become an exorcist like his adoptive father in order to avenge his death.
- Originally, Rin was supposed to be a side character, but the author changed the story so that Rin would be the main character.
- Rin is very headstrong and often acts without thinking. He is also very short-tempered and can be quite reckless. However, Rin is also very kind-hearted and loyal to those he cares about.
- Rin's main weapon is the Kurikara, a sword that also serves as hisDemonic Fuse. The Kurikara can seal away Rin's demonic powers, but if Rin draws the sword, his demonic powers will be unleashed.
This is exciting news for fans of the Blue Exorcist anime series. The new series will hopefully be just as good as the previous two.
